We are running one day courses at Middle Farm for anyone interested in starting up, or gaining further knowledge of basic chicken keeping.
Saturday 1st March, Saturday 15th March 2008, Saturday 26th
April 2008, Saturday 10th May 2008, Tuesday 10th June 2008,
Saturday 5th July 2008 and Saturday 6th September 2008 and
a special parent/guardian and child course on the morning
of Wednesday 28th May 2008.
The course will cover:
- What breed to choose
- Housing & feeding requirements
- Hatching & rearing
- Caring for your chickens (beak clipping/etc)
- Pests & common ailments
- Handling & general social behaviour patterns
All courses are run by our trained and experienced staff.
Refreshments will be provided.
£70 per person
